Merchant Warehouse

Merchant Warehouse Review
By David Kankowski

I'm a former trucker who knows what it's like to drive for 48 straight hours without a place to stop. There used to be truck stops and rest areas all up and down 66, but these days, you're lucky to find anything but Motel 8s and Holiday Inns that charge $100 for a night's stay and a hot meal. I'm from the old-school, so to me, that's just ridiculous. We work hard out there on the road trying to get from A to B. We need a place to go in between. That's why I decided to hang up my CB and open a road-side diner.

It wasn't cheap, let me tell you, but I threw my life savings into the place and even took out a $200,000 loan to expand the parking lot for big rigs. I have all the foods truckers love: Heart attacks on a bun, on a plate, in a bag, and even deep fried! You know; the greasy stuff, like triple bacon cheeseburgers and corndogs. To my surprise, truckers weren't the only customers I received. I was packed from day one, and my customers ranged from policemen and white-collar lawyers to entire families.

This was great as long as people paid in cash, but after a while, some of the customers started to complain that we didn't accept credit cards. I even had to put a sign on the front door: Cash only. My place started losing business, so I went to Merchant Warehouse to pick up a credit card processing terminal. While I was there, I found out that they could also help me accept checks if I needed. This was great news. It's not that the terminals are expensive, but I really don't know how to turn receipts into cash for my business.

Merchant Warehouse had a wide array of credit card processing terminals for me to choose from. They had Hypercom, First Date, LinkPoint, VeriFone, Nurit, and a few others. They specialize in merchant accounts and can easily set a business up to accept credit cards as a form of payment. And the best part about this for me was that the prices were really low. I purchased the Hypercom T7 Plus after reading a few good reviews about its reliability. The terminal only cost me $125, and Merchant Warehouse talked me through the setup. The terminal accepts all major brands of credit and debit cards.

They guarantee to have the lowest prices in the industry on merchant accounts and equipment, and their staff will provide custom-tailored solutions to fit your particular type of business, whether it's a land-based business like my diner, or a dotcom business in cyberspace. Their application process is really simple; all you have to do to get Merchant Warehouse's attention is fill in your business' name and a few other details.

The hardware works great and the merchant software is constantly updated for security and overall functionality. One of my biggest fears going in was the records of transactions. I didn't want to face tax penalties if I missed a few credit card receipts. But I didn't have to worry about that with Merchant Warehouse. All in all, I'm definitely glad I found them. Now I'm able to cook for my many customers and not have to worry about giving free meals when they pull the "Oops, no cash" routine. I don't provide reviews every day, but for this one I just had to...
